Only one available — one-of-a-kind.

A deep red field carrying two columns of quartered Turkmen güls in cream, salmon and indigo, ruled into cells by a fine dark lattice. Down the channel between the columns runs a second, faster rhythm: a large floral cruciform, then a small four-spurred device, then a cruciform again, all the way to the end. Wide multi-band borders of hooked devices, rosettes and diamond repeats in cream, salmon and indigo frame the field, and a deep end panel closes the rug with bold diagonal lattice drawing at several times the scale of anything in the field. Cream fringe at both ends.

Hand-knotted in Afghanistan in the Turkmen tradition. The centre channel alternates two different minor devices, so it runs at twice the pace of the gül columns either side of it. At 94×370cm this is a long runner, suited to a full corridor or a hall. A deep red ground is among the most forgiving colours a rug can have.

100% hand-spun Afghan wool, naturally rich in lanolin, which gives it softness, a subtle sheen and a natural resistance to everyday dirt and spills. Hand-knotted in northern Afghanistan with a cream fringe at both ends.

A deep red ground hides everyday marks well. The cream in the güls and the border repeats is the vulnerable colour — it is the palest thing on the rug and the first to grey. On a runner of this length wear is very uneven, with the first metres from the busier doorway taking far more traffic than the far end, so rotating end to end matters more here than on an ordinary rug.

Two columns of güls run down this rug, and between them there is a third thing happening that is easy to walk past. The channel down the centre is not filled with one repeated motif: it alternates. A large floral cruciform with four arms comes first, then a much smaller four-spurred device, then a cruciform again — and because the small device sits between the large ones, the centre line carries roughly twice as many events as either gül column beside it.

That difference in pace is what stops a two-column repeat feeling like a ladder. The güls set a slow, even beat down each side; the channel between runs at double time and keeps the middle of the rug moving. It is a small piece of design economy — no new colour is introduced and no extra width is used, only a second motif at a different interval. Put a finger on any gül and slide it inward to the centre line: you will land on a large cruciform. Move down half a step and you find the small one.
