Only one available — one-of-a-kind.

A greyed olive field carrying a single column of small Turkmen güls, each quartered diagonally into ivory and apricot with a red hooked device in every quarter and a fine dark outline drawing the octagon. Small hooked motifs flank them at both field edges. Wide multi-band borders of star-güls, crosses and dogtooth in salmon, red, cream and near-black frame the field down both sides, and both ends close with a bold zigzag panel. Cream fringe at both ends.

Hand-knotted in wool. The güls here are quartered light against light rather than light against dark, which is the reverse of the usual Turkmen convention and gives the field its quietness. At 78×230cm this is a short runner, suited to a small hall, a galley kitchen or the foot of a bed. A mid-toned olive ground hides everyday marks better than a pale rug, though the ivory in the güls will show wear before the field does.

100% wool pile, hand-knotted, with a natural fringe at both ends. Wool is resilient and forgiving underfoot, which makes this a practical choice for a hallway that gets real use.

A mid-toned olive ground sits between the extremes — it hides everyday marks better than a pale rug but not as well as a dark one. The ivory in the güls is the vulnerable colour: it is the palest thing on the rug, it is what the whole design depends on for legibility, and it sits down the centre line where a runner takes its traffic.

A Turkmen gül is normally quartered light against dark. A cross divides the octagon into four, and the quarters alternate diagonally between an ivory or gold pair and a near-black or deep indigo pair, so that the emblem reads as a pinwheel of alternating tone and holds together at a distance. Look at the güls on this rug and the dark pair is simply absent. Both diagonals are light — ivory on one, apricot on the other — and the only dark anywhere on the gül is the thin outline that draws its edge.

The consequence is a rug that behaves differently across a room. With no dark quarter to anchor it, each gül has almost no internal contrast, so from the far end of a hallway the column reads as a row of pale discs on olive and the quartering disappears entirely; walk up to it and the four quarters, the red hooks inside each one and the small cross at the centre all resolve at once. Most Bokharas do the opposite and give you their structure first. This one keeps it back.
