Only one available — one-of-a-kind.

A ruby red field carrying twenty-one octagonal güls, three across and seven down, each drawn markedly wider than it is tall and holding a stepped diamond centre in cream, apricot, navy and black. A pale sand and grey net links them, carrying small dark red diamond devices at every crossing. Deep multi-band borders of diamonds, rosettes and hooked forms in sand, cream and navy frame the field, closing with a broad end panel of upright dark devices on a crossed lattice. Cream fringe at both ends.

Hand-knotted in wool. The proportion of the güls is the decision worth noticing: a Turkmen gül is normally about as wide as it is tall, but these have been stretched sideways so that exactly three fill the width, giving each a cell of roughly 42 by 29 centimetres. The consequence is that the field climbs as seven horizontal bands rather than reading as a grid of twenty-one. At 155×235cm this is a room-sized rug suited to a sitting room or a bedroom. A red ground hides everyday marks well, though the pale net between the güls will show traffic sooner than the field does.

100% wool pile, hand-knotted, with a natural fringe at both ends. Wool is resilient and forgiving underfoot, and the dense drawing inside each gül hides light soiling well.

The part to watch is the pale net. A red rug feels forgiving, and the ruby ground genuinely is, but the light grey-beige channels running between the güls are the opposite — they cross the whole field and will show traffic before anything else does. The same applies to the wide pale borders.

Count the güls and there are twenty-one, three across and seven down, and that arrangement is doing more work than it appears. A Turkmen gül is nominally a compact emblem, roughly as wide as it is tall. These are not. The field here measures about 125 by 205 centimetres, which gives each gül a cell of roughly 42 by 29 — half again wider than it is high. The emblem has been stretched horizontally so that exactly three fill the width. Measure one against its own height and the proportion shows up immediately.

That single decision shapes how the whole rug reads. Because each gül is wider than tall, the eye groups them into horizontal rows rather than a square grid, so the field climbs as seven bands rather than as a checkerboard of twenty-one units. It is a workshop accommodation rather than a tribal one — an inherited emblem adjusted to fit a standard carpet size — and it is worth knowing that this is what you are looking at, because it is the kind of practical decision that separates a commercial Pakistani weaving from the nomadic work it descends from, without making the drawing any less careful.
