A soft salmon field carrying an all-over lattice of diamonds that share their edges, worked in dusty mauve, pale grey-blue, cream and brown. Two different medallions fill them in strict alternation: one holds a cruciform device around a cream rosette, the other a stepped figure with hooked arms around a pale grey square. Wide cream borders of small floral repeats frame the field, backed by narrow mauve guards, and a band of rosettes closes each end. Cream fringe at both ends.
Hand-knotted in wool at a fine gauge. The two medallion types alternate in both directions at once, so no diamond ever sits beside another of its own kind. At 77×242cm this is a runner, suited to a hallway or a landing. A mid-toned salmon ground is reasonably forgiving of everyday marks, though the cream in the borders will show wear first.
