A sunlit goldenrod field is laid out in an all-over diamond trellis, each lozenge framing a stylised palmette and tulip in cream, soft grey and warm brown. Threads of silk woven through the hand-spun wool lift the golden ground with a gentle sheen that shifts as you move around it.

Hand-knotted in Afghanistan from naturally dyed, hand-spun wool and silk, this Gabbeh balances a bright, joyful colour with a disciplined classical lattice. Tied knot by knot by a single weaver, its subtle abrash and luminous palette make it a true one-of-a-kind.

The diamond trellis is one of the oldest framing devices in Oriental weaving, here filled with simple palmettes and tulips rather than dense ornament. On a glowing goldenrod ground it feels both traditional and bright, a warm, optimistic floor for a room.

Silk highlights among the hand-spun wool give the gold a soft, shifting lustre. As a hand-knotted one-of-a-kind, no other rug shares its exact tone, drawing and sheen.
