Care instructions

• Vacuum regularly on low suction without a rotating brush.
• Rotate the rug occasionally so it wears and fades evenly.
• Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth, working from the outside in, and do not rub.
• Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to protect the colour.
• Use a professional rug cleaner for any deep clean.
• Light shedding is normal with new wool and settles within the first few months.

The same checkerboard idea as its sister rugs, here in cool denim-blue and cream. The field is divided into squares, each filled with fine wavy diagonal lines that run alternately one way then the other, so the surface seems to ripple as you cross the room. The blue and cream come from natural dyes and every square is knotted by hand in Afghanistan, so the tones drift gently from block to block — the honest fingerprint of a hand-made piece.
