Care instructions

• Vacuum regularly on low suction without a rotating brush.
• Rotate the rug occasionally so it wears and fades evenly.
• Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth, working from the outside in, and do not rub.
• Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to protect the colour.
• Use a professional rug cleaner for any deep clean.
• Light shedding is normal with new wool and settles within the first few months.

This Gabbeh wears its tribal heart openly: a glowing madder-red ground is filled with rows of black geometry — hooked diamonds, combs, S-forms and zigzag bands — the kind of protective and clan motifs nomadic weavers have used for generations. Drawn entirely freehand and knotted by hand in Afghanistan from naturally dyed wool, the red carries soft madder abrash and no two motifs are identical, the unmistakable fingerprint of a single weaver.
