This rug fills a deep navy, midnight-blue ground with an all-over flowering garden. Fine rows of small blossoming plants, palmettes and curling vines repeat across the field in a richly varied palette — gold, teal-green, rust, salmon, cream and soft red — so the dark ground seems to come alive with colour. There is no single medallion; the pattern flows in every direction, immersive and endlessly detailed.
Framing the field is a wide, deep-red border carrying large floral palmettes and cartouches in gold, cream, teal and green, balanced by gold guard stripes and a navy outer edge. The warm red frame sets off the cool navy field, while the many colours of the flowers give the rug a jewelled, tapestry-like richness. It is the kind of multicoloured piece that draws a different detail to the eye each time you look.
Hand-knotted in Pakistan with the fine Persian double knot, the rug is woven in pure wool on a cotton foundation — the pile dense and even, the floral detail exceptionally fine, finished with a hand-tied ivory fringe. Its deep, multicoloured palette pairs easily with a wide range of interiors, anchoring a living room, dining room or study with warmth and depth. As a hand-knotted original, it is genuinely one of a kind.

The all-over garden design imagines the carpet as a paradise garden in full bloom, its entire field given over to flowering plants, vines and palmettes rather than a single medallion. One of the most beloved ideas in Persian weaving, it invites the eye to wander freely, finding new blossoms in every corner.
Worked here in many colours on a deep navy ground, the design takes on a tapestry-like richness, the warm flowers glowing against the cool field. Rewoven by hand in Pakistan in pure wool, the rug's small irregularities of line and colour are the signature of the weaver's hand, not flaws — the mark of a true one-of-a-kind piece.
