A deep teal-green field gives this fine Persian Nain a rich, jewel-like glow, setting off a luminous cream medallion at its centre, wreathed in a dense, mirrored garden of Shah Abbasi palmettes and blossoms in ivory, powder-blue, rose and soft camel. The lush teal ground is a striking, characterful change from the classic ivory, all framed by a wide ivory border of flowering arabesques and a powder-blue guard.

Nain rugs are prized for their exceptional fineness — knotted at very high density from soft, hand-spun wool, which gives crisp definition to every curling leaf and flower. Material: 100 percent hand-spun wool, naturally rich in lanolin, which gives it softness, a subtle sheen, and a natural resistance to everyday dirt and spills.

Care instructions

  • Vacuum gently on low suction without a rotating brush, and avoid the fringes.
  • Use a rug pad underneath to cushion the pile and prevent slipping.
  • Rotate the rug occasionally so it wears and fades evenly.
  • Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth, working from the outside in, and do not rub.
  • Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to protect the natural-dyed colours.
