A warm honey-gold field gives this rug its mellow, antique glow, scattered with an all-over arrangement of lobed medallions and diamond cartouches linked by delicate floral tracery. Worked in muted sage-green, dusty rose, taupe and cream with small touches of red, the design unfolds as a gentle garden of repeating motifs rather than a single grand centre, so the whole rug feels soft, calm and quietly luxurious.

A sage-green main border wraps the field in a procession of flowering palmettes and vines in cream, rose, red and gold, its cool tone balancing the warm gold within.
