A soft greige field — warm grey shading into taupe — is framed by a sparse tribal border in the Lori style: bold dark-brown blocks at the corners and midpoints, fine striped bands, and rows of small dotted diamonds and framed squares. The muted, undyed ground is left almost bare, so the brown ornament reads as quiet and deliberate, giving the rug a calm, minimal, modern-tribal character.
Hand-knotted in Afghanistan from hand-spun Ghazni highland wool that is naturally rich in lanolin, the pile is dense, soft underfoot and hard-wearing. The soft greige comes largely from the natural, undyed wool, so the ground carries a gentle, living striation — the honest mark of a genuine one-of-a-kind, hand-made rug.
