A soft wheat-gold field carries an all-over lattice of small diamond medallions and star-flowers in muted gold, sage-green and rust in this hand-knotted Ghazni. The gentle, closely-drawn repeat and the soft, natural-dyed palette give the rug a calm, antique-washed character.

A geometric border of zigzags, hooked motifs and small guls frames the field, worked in the same soft tones as the ground. Hand-knotted in Afghanistan from fine, hand-spun highland wool, the pile is soft and lustrous, coloured entirely with natural dyes that glow with a gentle abrash. Worked entirely by hand, every motif is drawn a little differently — the honest mark of a genuine one-of-a-kind, hand-made piece.

Material: 100 percent hand-spun Afghan wool, naturally rich in lanolin, which gives it softness, a subtle sheen, and a natural resistance to everyday dirt and spills.

Care instructions

  • Rotate the rug occasionally so it wears and fades evenly.
  • Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth, working from the outside in, and do not rub.
  • Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to protect the colour.

  • Light shedding is normal with new wool and settles within the first few months.
