Care instructions

• Use a professional rug cleaner for any deep clean.
• Light shedding is normal with new wool and settles within the first few months.

This is a patchwork or sampler Gabbeh, where the field is divided into a grid of small squares and each one is given its own tribal motif — diamonds, combs, hooks, lattices, dotted grounds and tiny flowers. The whole piece is held together by a quiet earth-tone palette of camel, tan, cream and walnut. Knotted by hand in Afghanistan from hand-spun, naturally dyed wool, every square is drawn freehand, so the motifs and their colours shift from block to block — the unmistakable fingerprint of a single weaver rather than a machine.
