This rug reimagines the classic Oushak floral in a vivid magenta key. Across the pink field, large palmettes, rosettes and curling vinescroll are picked out in saffron, teal, coral and ivory, framed by a matching floral border and finished with multicolour kilim tassels. Hand-knotted in Afghanistan from hand-spun, naturally dyed wool, every blossom is drawn freehand and the magenta ground shifts softly from light to deep — the fingerprint of a single weaver at the loom rather than a machine.
