Rows of Turkmen güls in charcoal and warm gold are set across a soft camel-beige field, each octagonal medallion linked by slender cross motifs. The warm, earthy ground and dark medallions give this Bokhara a mellow, antique-leaning character that sits easily in a neutral or traditional room.

A deep run of narrow guard borders in charcoal, gold and cream — rosettes, diamonds, stars and hooked bands — frames the field on all four sides, ending in a broad panelled band of stylised flowers. Hand-knotted in Pakistan from fine, hand-spun highland wool, the pile is dense and closely clipped, giving crisp definition to every gül and border. Worked entirely by hand with warm, natural-looking dyes, the camel ground carries a gentle abrash and each medallion is drawn a little differently — the honest mark of a genuine one-of-a-kind piece.

Material: 100 percent hand-spun Afghan wool, naturally rich in lanolin, which gives it softness, a subtle sheen, and a natural resistance to everyday dirt and spills.

Care instructions

  • Rotate the rug occasionally so it wears and fades evenly.
  • Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth, working from the outside in, and do not rub.
  • Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to protect the colour.
  • Use a professional rug cleaner for any deep clean.
  • Light shedding is normal with new wool and settles within the first few months.

The Bokhara draws its name from Bukhara, the old Silk Road trading city, where Turkmen weavers ranged their fields with rows of güls — quartered octagonal medallions. Here they are worked in charcoal and gold on a soft camel-beige ground, giving the classic a warm, antique-leaning feel. Hand-knotted in Pakistan from natural-dyed highland wool, every medallion is drawn by hand — the fingerprint of a one-of-a-kind rug.

Returns We accept returns within 7 days of delivery. Items must be unused and in their original condition. To start a return, contact our customer support. For a defective or incorrectly shipped item, we cover the return cost and arrange a replacement or refund.
