Red Diamond-Gül Jaldar Rug, Hand-Knotted Pakistani Wool & Silk
Only one available — one-of-a-kind.
A deep red field carries offset rows of small stepped-diamond güls — the fine, jewel-like medallions that mark a Jaldar — drawn in camel, salmon and black, with slender diamond motifs set neatly between the rows. The whole ground reads as a calm, closely-drawn repeat, precise and orderly across the field.
A run of narrow guard borders in camel, ivory and black — barber-pole stripes, hooked motifs and rows of little diamonds — frames the field on every side. Hand-knotted in Pakistan from fine, hand-spun wool with an added measure of silk, the pile is closely clipped and finely knotted, giving crisp definition to every diamond and border. The silk lifts the camel and salmon tones with a soft sheen, and every motif is drawn a little differently — the honest mark of a genuine one-of-a-kind, hand-made piece.

Care instructions
- Vacuum regularly on low suction without a rotating brush.
- Rotate the rug occasionally so it wears and fades evenly.
- Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth, working from the outside in, and do not rub.
- Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to protect the colour.
- For silk-blend rugs, use a professional rug cleaner for any deep clean.
- Light shedding is normal with new wool and settles within the first few months.
Jaldar rugs are woven by Pakistani workshops in the Turkmen tradition, their fields set with rows of small stepped-diamond güls rather than the larger elephant-foot medallions of a Bokhara. Here the diamonds repeat in camel, salmon and black across a deep red ground, framed by narrow camel and ivory guard borders. Finely hand-knotted from wool with an added measure of silk, every diamond is worked by hand — the fingerprint of a one-of-a-kind piece.
