A large stepped medallion in cream, gold and soft blue floats at the centre of a warm rust-red field, flanked by sage-green corner spandrels and a dense scatter of tribal motifs — hooked stars, blossoms, stylised animals and eight-point rosettes in blue, orange, cream and green. The lively Caucasian-Kazak layout gives this Jaldar a rich, storybook character, lit by the sheen of its silk content.
A cream main border of linked star medallions is bracketed by many narrow guard stripes and a bold outer band of polychrome latch-hook diamonds, framing the field on all four sides. Hand-knotted in Pakistan from a blend of 80% fine highland wool and 20% lustrous silk, this is an 11/20-quality single-knot Pakistani weave — a fine knot count that holds the crisp, detailed drawing of the medallion and its many small motifs. Worked entirely by hand with warm, natural-looking dyes, the red ground carries a gentle abrash and every motif is drawn a little differently — the honest mark of a genuine one-of-a-kind piece.
