Two columns of hexagonal güls rest on a soft slate blue-grey field, each medallion centred with a stepped diamond star in salmon, ivory and black. Slender diamond motifs link the compartments down the centre, giving the whole ground a calm, orderly rhythm in gentle, faded tones.

A run of narrow guard borders in camel, ivory and blue-grey frames the field, closing at the base into a banded panel of hooked lattice-work. Hand-knotted in Pakistan from fine, hand-spun highland wool, the pile is closely clipped and finely knotted, giving crisp definition to every gül and border. Coloured with soft, natural-looking dyes and worked entirely by hand, the muted field carries a gentle abrash, and every medallion is drawn a little differently — the honest mark of a genuine one-of-a-kind, hand-made piece.

Material: 100 percent hand-spun Afghan wool, naturally rich in lanolin, which gives it softness, a subtle sheen, and a natural resistance to everyday dirt and spills.

Care instructions

  • Vacuum regularly on low suction without a rotating brush.
  • Rotate the rug occasionally so it wears and fades evenly.
  • Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth, working from the outside in, and do not rub.
  • Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to protect the colour.
  • Use a professional rug cleaner for any deep clean.
  • Light shedding is normal with new wool and settles within the first few months.

Woven by Pakistani workshops in the Turkmen tradition, this Jaldar sets rows of hexagonal güls on a soft slate blue-grey ground rather than the usual deep red — a cooler, quieter reading of a classic tribal layout. Each medallion is centred with a stepped diamond star in salmon and ivory, framed by narrow camel borders. Finely hand-knotted from natural-dyed highland wool, every gül is worked by hand — the fingerprint of a one-of-a-kind piece.
