Care instructions

• Vacuum regularly on low suction without a rotating brush.
• Rotate the rug occasionally so it wears and fades evenly.
• Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth, working from the outside in, and do not rub.
• Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to protect the colour.
• Use a professional rug cleaner for any deep clean.
• Light shedding is normal with new wool and settles within the first few months.

This is a colour study rather than a pattern: the weaver mixes many close tones — teal, brown, cream, grey and hints of blue — and lays them down in fine horizontal streaks, so the whole field shimmers and shifts like weathered wood or water. Each colour is a separate hand-dyed batch of wool, knotted line by line in Afghanistan, which is why the surface has such depth and never repeats — the honest signature of a hand-made piece.
