A deep, glowing red field surrounds a central block of garden panels in this hand-knotted Ghazni, each little compartment framing its own flower, vine or tree in blue, gold, teal, cream and rust, with a jewel-like floral medallion anchoring the middle. The generous plain red ground gives the colourful, intricate centre room to breathe, so the rug feels both richly traditional and calm.

Hand-knotted in Afghanistan from fine, hand-spun Ghazni highland wool, the pile is dense and finely knotted, giving crisp detail in every panel and a soft, durable surface underfoot. The red is built from natural madder dye and glows with gentle abrash, and every compartment is drawn slightly differently — the honest mark of a genuine one-of-a-kind, hand-made piece.

Material: 100 percent hand-spun Afghan wool, naturally rich in lanolin, which gives it softness, a subtle sheen, and a natural resistance to everyday dirt and spills.

Care instructions

  • Vacuum regularly on low suction without a rotating brush.
  • Rotate the rug occasionally so it wears and fades evenly.
  • Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth, working from the outside in, and do not rub.
  • Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to protect the colour.
  • Use a professional rug cleaner for any deep clean.
  • Light shedding is normal with new wool and settles within the first few months.
