Only one available — one-of-a-kind.

A glowing red field carries three stepped diamond medallions — gold and navy, each centred on a small hooked cross — down its length in this hand-knotted Kazak. Green-hearted güls, eight-pointed star-flowers and serrated blue leaves fill the ground, all framed by a wide gold border of palmettes and rosettes with navy guard stripes. It has the clear, powerful drawing that makes Kazak rugs instantly recognisable.

Hand-knotted in Afghanistan from hand-spun highland wool, the pile is thick, lustrous and hard-wearing. The colours are drawn from natural dyes, so the red glows with abrash and every motif is drawn slightly differently — the honest mark of a genuine one-of-a-kind, hand-made piece.

Care instructions

  • Vacuum regularly on low suction without a rotating brush.
  • Rotate the rug occasionally so it wears and fades evenly.
  • Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth, working from the outside in, and do not rub.
  • Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to protect the colour.
  • Use a professional rug cleaner for any deep clean.
  • Light shedding is normal with new wool and settles within the first few months.

The Kazak is one of the boldest of tribal weaves, descended from the mountain villages of the Caucasus, favouring large, clear medallions on saturated grounds. Here three stepped diamond medallions in gold and navy run down a glowing red field among green güls, star-flowers and serrated leaves, framed by a wide gold border of palmettes. Hand-knotted in Afghanistan from natural-dyed highland wool, every motif is worked by hand — the fingerprint of a one-of-a-kind piece.
