Care instructions

• Vacuum regularly on low suction without a rotating brush.
• Rotate the rug occasionally so it wears and fades evenly.
• Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth, working from the outside in, and do not rub.
• Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to protect the colour.
• Use a professional rug cleaner for any deep clean.
• Light shedding is normal with new wool and settles within the first few months.

Striped Gabbehs grow line by line, the weaver changing wool as the rug rises, so the bands record the materials at hand as much as any plan. Here pale cream and beige alternate with deep brown, and two rows of small diamond-in-square motifs punctuate the field — traditional tribal marks added freehand. Because the wool is hand-spun and naturally dyed, no two stripes are identical in width or tone; those quiet irregularities are the fingerprint of a handmade piece, the trace of a single weaver rather than a machine.
